Good introduction to the OSI model

This little book gives s fine overview of the theoretical concepts underlying the OSI model. The problem I had with the book is that it did not dicuss the actual physical devices that are associated with each level of the model (NIC at level 1, hub, level 1, router level 3, etc). When you are trying to learn the OSI model, you cannot really escape from the hardware that takes the theory and makes it work in the real world. Otherwise, super!

Great Introductory Material

This is a very simply, barebones book. It content/style is that of a powerpoint presentation. Clear explanations on the layers of the OSI model in simple, clear language. It general, it gives just gives a few sentences more on the topic than a basic definition of the topic.
